dm contemporary is pleased to present Object/ Objective, a solo exhibition featuring new works by Eung Ho Park. The exhibition opens at dm contemporary, NYC, on Friday, November 30th, 2012 and continues through February 2nd, 2013.

Eung Ho Park is known for his large-scale installations in which he employs common everyday objects as his material. In this exhibition, the artist continues to transform – by bending, shaping, or painting – humble, ordinary objects from our everyday life, to create sculptural works that make comments on humanity, and statements on our everyday existence. The resulting artworks are anything but ordinary – they are beautiful, and fun to look at, yet clever in presenting provocative ideas about the human condition and our social environment, but not without a touch of humor.

Eung Ho Park was born in South Korea and lives and works in New York City. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and it is in private as well as public collections, such as The Queens Museum, Queens, NY; The Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. His public sculpture for P.S. 270, Queens – "Bowling Ball Curtain" – was prominently featured in Public Art for Public Schools by Michelle Cohen, published by The Monacelli Press in 2009.
